Damp Block

CP-Damp Block is a two-component coating composed of epoxy resin, curing agent, inert pigments, and fine fillers with water as the medium. It can be diluted with water for easy application over cementitious surfaces. CP-Damp Block is ideal for internal dampproofing treatments in water tanks and damp walls due to its anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties, excellent water resistance, and strong adhesion.

Technical Data

How to Apply

Surface Preparation

  1. Clean surfaces thoroughly to remove oil, grease, dust, dirt, fungus, moss, or loose paint.
  2. Use wire brushing and sanding to ensure a sound substrate.

Mixing Instructions

  1. Stir the Base and Hardener individually to ensure uniform consistency.
  2. Combine the Base and Hardener in the specified ratio and mix to achieve a smooth paste.
  3. Gradually dilute with water (1:1:1 ratio) while mixing to a brushable consistency.

Applications

Dampproofing of RCC Water Tanks

  1. Fill cracks and grooves with CP-Damp Block and cement-modified putty. Let it dry for 24 hours.
  2. Apply the first coat of CP-Damp Block and let it dry for 24 hours.
  3. Apply the second coat and allow a 7-day air cure.
  4. Before use, clean the coating thoroughly with water 6–7 times to avoid foam formation.

Dampproofing of Internal Walls

  1. Clean and prepare the substrate as instructed.
  2. Apply two brush coats of CP-Damp Block with an interval of 6–8 hours between coats.
  3. Allow a minimum drying time of 24 hours before painting.

CP-Damp Block Putty Preparation

  1. Mix the prepared CP-Damp Block (Base + Hardener) with cement in a 1:1 ratio.
  2. Stir thoroughly to achieve a putty consistency.
  3. Apply as needed to persistent damp areas before finishing with CP-Damp Block coats.

Precautions

  • Avoid contact with eyes. Seek immediate medical attention if ingested.
