Surface Preparation

1. Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dirt, dust, oil, grease, curing compounds, mold release agents, or any old coatings.
2. Open any major cracks in a “V” shape and repair with CP-ReCon range of repair mortars.
3. Repair honeycombed or spalled concrete using suitable repair mortar.
4. Remove any protrusions (e.g., nail heads) that might damage the coating.

Priming

• For porous surfaces, dilute CP-MoyaShield BE with 15-20% clean water and apply as a primer.

Mixing

• Stir the product well before use.

Application Process

1. Method: CP-MoyaShield BE can be applied using a brush, roller, or squeegee.
2. Coats: Apply two coats for damp proofing and vapor barriers:
   • First coat: Apply at a thickness of 200-500 microns.
   • Second coat: Apply at right angles to the first coat at the same thickness.
3. Curing: Allow a minimum of 4 hours between the first and second coats.
4. Gritting: For surfaces that will receive plaster, render, or floor screeds, ‘grit’ the second coat with clean, dry sand to create a keyed surface.
5. Drying Time: Allow a minimum of 7 days drying before applying plaster, render, or screed.
6. Curing Compound: For use as a curing compound on green concrete, one coat is sufficient. It prevents rapid evaporation of water and the formation of shrinkage cracks.
7. Spray Application: If spraying, adjust the consistency of the material by adding water.

Curing

• Allow the applied product to air cure for a minimum period of 7 days.

Precautions

• Avoid contact with eyes. Seek immediate medical attention if swallowed.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Disposal

• Do not reuse containers. Dispose of according to local regulations.
