CP-MoyaProof CWP

CP-MoyaProof CWP is a cementitious slurry waterproofing system that uses crystallization. The active chemicals in CP-MoyaProof CWP react with free lime and moisture in the capillary tracks of the concrete to form an insoluble crystalline complex. These crystals block the capillaries and minor shrinkage cracks, preventing further water ingress.

Features & Benefits

  • Becomes an integral part of the concrete structure.
  • Suitable for use in contact with potable water.
  • Chemicals remain dormant and are reactivated when moisture is present.
  • Does not require costly surface priming or leveling, saving time.
  • Can be applied to freshly laid green concrete using the dry shake method.
  • Can be applied on the negative side of water-retaining or underground structures.
  • Does not require protection from backfill.
  • Forms a subsurface membrane, preventing water penetration.
  • Economical and efficient to apply.

Product Details

  • Pack Size: 25 kg
  • Coverage:
    • Dry Shake Method: 4-5 kg/m²
    • Slurry: 11 m²/bag at 2 mm thickness
    • Actual coverage depends on the porosity and texture of the substrate.

How to Apply

Surface Preparation:

Concrete surfaces should be clean, free of laitance, dirt, paint, coatings, or other foreign matter. The surfaces should have an open capillary system. Smooth surfaces should be acid-etched, lightly sandblasted, or waterblasted. Any structural defects, such as cracks or honeycombs, must be repaired before applying CP-MoyaProof CWP.

Mixing:

  • Mix 25 kg of CP-MoyaProof CWP with 13-14 liters of clean water.
  • Always add powder to water and mix using a slow-speed drill fitted with a paddle until a smooth, lump-free consistency is achieved.
  • Do not add more water to rework stiff material.

Application:

  • Slurry Coat: Apply CP-MoyaProof CWP with a stiff fiber brush to the damp surface, ensuring all pores are filled. Apply a second coat after the first one has set but is still green.
  • Dry Shake Method: For newly poured concrete, apply the powder directly over freshly poured concrete (4-5 kg/m²) before final troweling.
  • Leaking Cracks: For active water leakage, mix CP-MoyaProof CWP with CP-MoyaProof Plug in a 1:1 ratio to stop the water flow. Apply two coats of CP-MoyaProof CWP afterward.

Overcoating:

  • If epoxy coating or painting is required, neutralize the CP-MoyaProof CWP surface using a buffer solution.
  • After 21 days, the applied CP-MoyaProof CWP can be mechanically removed to allow coating application.

Curing:

  • Keep the surface moist during curing by spraying water 3-4 times daily for 12-15 days.
  • Wet hessian or moist sand can also be used to keep the surface damp.
  • No protection boards are required once curing is completed.

Areas of Application

CP-MoyaProof CWP can be used in various concrete structures, including:

  • Marine and coastal structures
  • Rafts and precast panels
  • Water storage tanks
  • Highways, runways, roofs, and decks
  • Bridges, cut-and-cover tunnels, silos, and car parks
  • Swimming pools, pipes, lift pits, etc.
